The NOLA Holi Festival is delighted to welcome Dr. Ruchi Sus as the newest member of its Board of Directors. A first-generation Indian physician at Tulane Hospital, Ruchi brings a heartfelt passion for celebrating and sharing Indian culture—especially the vibrancy of Bollywood music, dance, and traditions.

Ruchi has long been an active volunteer and a believer in the power of festivals to bring people together. As Treasurer, she will support the financial stewardship of the festival, while also partnering with fellow board member Dr. Jignesh Patel on community engagement efforts leading up to the celebration. In addition, she will serve as the Operational Lead for the Parade, helping shape the joyful procession that kicks off the festivities.

“Ruchi brings an incredible blend of cultural passion and community spirit,” said Arun Lakhotia, President of the NOLA Holi Festival. “Her love for bringing people together aligns beautifully with our mission, and we are honored to have her leadership on our Board.”

Reflecting on her appointment, Dr. Sus shared, “Holi has always symbolized joy, unity, and the celebration of our shared humanity. I am excited to help create an experience where our entire community—Indian and non-Indian alike—can come together in color, music, and friendship.”

Her warmth, enthusiasm, and commitment to cultural connection make her an invaluable addition to the Board, and we look forward to the creativity and community spirit she brings to the NOLA Holi Festival.
